From an Ancient Tree to America
Recently, we received an order from a customer in the United States who chose one of our round Luckytata wooden pendants. What made this order especially meaningful was the custom message requested for the pendant:
“Child of God.”
Just three simple words, but words that clearly carried a personal meaning for its owner.
For us, customization is more than adding letters to a piece of wood. A name, a short phrase, or a few carefully chosen words can turn a wooden pendant into something deeply personal. It becomes connected to a memory, a belief, a hope, or a part of someone’s story.
And so, this particular Luckytata began its journey.

A Week Beneath a Century-Old Tree
After the pendant was prepared and engraved, we brought it to one of the century-old trees connected with Luckytata.
There, the round wooden pendant was carefully hung from the ancient tree and left for one full week.
For more than a hundred years, trees like this have quietly stood in the same place through changing seasons, countless rains, warm summers, cold winters, and generations of people passing beneath their branches.
To us, an ancient tree represents something simple but powerful: time, vitality, resilience, connection, and inner peace.
We do not make our pendants from these ancient trees. The wood used to create Luckytata comes from ordinary, legally sourced wood. Instead, the finished pendant spends time hanging on a living century-old tree before continuing its journey to its new owner.
It is a small ritual, but it is at the heart of the Luckytata story.
Carrying a Blessing Across the Distance
During that week, the pendant gently moved with the branches and leaves, surrounded by the quiet presence of a tree that had already lived for generations.
When the seven days were complete, we carefully removed it.
Its appearance had not dramatically changed. It was still the same small round wooden pendant, engraved with the same words:
Child of God.
But its journey had become part of its story.
Soon, it would leave us and travel thousands of miles from China to the United States, eventually arriving in the hands of the person who chose those words.
This is one of the things we love most about Luckytata.
A small wooden pendant can begin its journey beneath an ancient tree and eventually become part of someone’s everyday life on the other side of the world.
It may be worn around the neck, held in the hand, placed beside a bed, or simply kept somewhere meaningful.
Wherever it goes, we hope it carries with it a reminder of the quiet strength and long life of the ancient tree beneath which it once hung.
More Than a Wooden Pendant
Luckytata was created around a simple idea: to create a connection between people and ancient trees.
We cannot send a century-old tree across the world.
But through a small wooden pendant, we can share its story.
For this customer in America, the words “Child of God” already had their own meaning long before the pendant reached us. Our role was simply to give those words a physical form, let that pendant spend a week beside a century-old tree, and then send it on the next part of its journey.
From an ancient tree to a new owner thousands of miles away, every Luckytata travels with a story.
And for this one, we hope the quiet blessing of a century-old tree will travel with it all the way to America — and finally, into the hands of the person it was made for.
